Terms of use

These terms are short on purpose. They cover using Quiltoku, and in particular the optional test features (Sync and Friends groups). For what happens to your information, see the privacy policy.

1. The game. Quiltoku is free to play and offered as it is. We try to keep it working, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
2. Beta features. Sync and friends groups are test features. They may change, reset, or end. We will give notice in the game before ending them where we can, and you can always export your progress as a game code.
3. Your progress. It lives on your device. Sync copies it so your devices agree. We are not responsible for losing progress on a device that you clear, lose or reset, which is why we offer game codes.
4. Fair use. Do not try to break, overload or probe the service, to get into other people's data, or to create fake results. We may block use that does.
5. Groups. Names in groups are chosen by the game from a fixed list. You are responsible for the group code you share and who you share it with. A group's creator can remove members and change the code. Results are reported by the players' own devices and are for fun: we do not check them or award prizes.
6. Changes. If these terms change in a way that matters, we will ask you again in the game before Sync continues.
7. Contact. Write to the person in charge of privacy named in the privacy policy.
8. Law. The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, and the courts of Ontario, subject to the mandatory rights of consumers (including consumers in Quebec).

These terms are a plain-language draft for a small test. They will be reviewed and may be rewritten when the features open to everyone.
