The Quiltoku beta features
Quiltoku is trying out two optional features before they are finished: Sync, which keeps your streak, calendar, levels and stars the same on your own phone, tablet and computer, and Friends groups, where you and your friends compare daily times and level progress. They are off until you turn them on, and the game works exactly as before without them.
What you can try
- Sync: in Settings, open the Game tab and set up Keep my progress on all my devices, then link a second device with a one-time code. Play on one device and check the other catches up.
- Friends groups: create a group or join one with a code. You get a small quilt avatar made from three colours you pick, and one word. There are no names, photos or chat. The group board shows daily times, how far each person is up to in the levels, and streaks.
What you share
Only if you turn the features on. The details, in plain words, are in sections 10 and 11 of the privacy policy, and the rules are in the terms of use. In short: no name, email, location or settings. A random player number, a key for each of your devices, your progress as a short code, and, if you join a group, your avatar, your word, your daily times and a few numbers about your progress. You can turn everything off and delete it yourself, any time, in Settings.
What to know
- It is a beta. It can change, reset or stop, and your game on your own device is never deleted or blocked.
- It is in English only for now: the features are not shown when the game is in French.
- It is not yet available to visitors in Quebec. The rest of the game works there as always, and nothing is collected from those visitors by these features.
