Your data, in plain language

Most of Quiltoku's privacy comes from one design decision: there are no accounts. This page explains what that means in practice, what does leave your device, and how it is looked after. The full legal text is on the privacy policy; this is the readable version.

What stays on your device

Your progress, your streak, your stars, your settings and your statistics are saved in your browser's local storage, on your own phone, tablet or computer. They are not sent to us. We cannot see them, and we could not recover them for you if you lost them. That is the trade: nothing for us to leak, and also nothing for us to restore. If you want a safety net, make a game code.

What we do not ask for

There is no sign-up, no login, no email address and no name. You can play every puzzle and every level without telling us anything. There are no passwords to forget or to have stolen.

What does reach us

How it is protected

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw a consent you gave. In practice the only such information is a message you sent. Write to the address on the contact page and you will get an answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can also go to Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If the game changes

If Quiltoku ever adds something that sends information off your device, it will be optional, it will say plainly what it sends, and the privacy policy will be updated before it is switched on. Nothing in this guide changes without the dated policy changing with it.
